Melissa Beck, MA, CCC-SLP, COM®
A native of Southern California, Melissa was raised in Fountain Valley and attended Mater Dei High School. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders at the University of the Pacific. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders at California State University, Fresno. After living in both Central California and Colorado, Melissa and her family returned to Orange County in 2011.
Melissa has over 20 years of experience treating various types of swallowing, speech articulation, and language disorders. Her experience includes all age ranges, from pediatric through geriatric. Melissa is board certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is a certified member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). Additionally, she received training by Dr. Randy Jenks, whose unique therapy program quickly and effectively eliminates tongue thrust and other symptoms of an orofacial myofunctional disorder. Melissa is an ambassador of The Breathe Institute and a liaison of the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry (AAPMD).

Melissa's teletherapy practice is dedicated to helping children and adults improve muscle function of the face and mouth, instill the correct swallow pattern and orofacial rest posture, and communicate effectively.
